VIEWS FROM THE BENCH
ABOVE THE ROSES
ARCH II, SET II

by Florence W Deems

::: ::: :::

Below are some views shot of and from this bench hidden in plain sight above one of the hills of roses. There's a stepping stone path to the left as you view the bench that takes one to the bench. But the stones are pretty well hidden and most people don't discover them. The sculpture is located in the lower right corner of the 5N square on the map, making the bench's location immediately to its right.

The panoramic view (1st row, 2nd image below) shows the Gazebo hidden beyond shrubs and trees to the right of the "Arch II, Set II" sculpture. The last two images in the 1st row show views of a sculpture with columns, "Tempio Bretton" by Walter Dusenbery. Click on the images to see larger versions. (The blank image spaces I hope to fill later this year. This page was made April, 2010.)

Images in the next row show various compositions looking toward the pond itself. Arch II, Set II is to the left, the pond more or less in the center beyond the walk and the Gazebo is to upper right.

Below is a map of the Grounds for Sculpture. The bench overlooking "Arch II, Set II" is located to the left of "H" (east of the Gazebo). The map has not been updated yet to include this location (April, 2010) because this is still a work in process. Click on map image to see a larger version.
